After Carrefour City in urban area, Carrefour Contact in rural area and Carrefour Montagne in mountain resort stations, Carrefour launches 2 new stores.
Carrefour continues its diversification strategy with the launch of two new convenience stores: Carrefour Express & Carrefour City Café.
Carrefour Express: urban and rural areas, with an area of 150 m2 and 3,500 references. Stores will be open from 8:00 am to 10:00 p.m.
Carrefour City Cafe: Catering and takeaway, 700 references of "ready to eat", the outlets from 100 to 150 m2 will be open 7 days a week.
At the end of 2010 Carrefour France has 420 stores:
- 206 Carrefour City
- 205 Carrefour Contact
- 7 Carrefour Montagne
- 1 Carrefour Express
- 1 Carrefour City Cafe
The objective is to reach 800 points of sale at the end of 2011.
